Twin politicians fight to halt anti-LGBT law

Errick and Derrick Simmons say House Bill 1523 could lead to the kind of discrimination and violence their parents remember from the Jim Crow era in Mississippi. The brothers are urging their conservative, southern black community to speak out against the state’s new anti-LGBT religious freedom law before it goes into effect on 1 July, 2016.
